2022 Herb Farm Internship

Whether you are new to farming or have been gardening for decades, we encourage you to apply!  This hands on experience is a perfect addition to any formal, online, or self study program.  In order to really know a person or plant, we believe you have to put in time getting to know them, face-to-face.  Our internship aims to give you quality time with our local medicinal plants so you can form a better relationship with them, the earth, and your local plant nerds.    

We are located in River Falls, Wisconsin (just south of Hudson) and are an easy 45 minute commute on 94 or 494 from the Twin Cities.

We start our day at 9am, take a 45 minute lunch break around noon, and end at 3 pm (sometimes earlier in the heat of the summer).

Start & End Dates:  May 1- September 30

The day of the week (M-F) will depend upon the applicants’ availability.

Our 2022 season will be a little different than in previous years.  We will not be harvesting for market or CSA’s (which means you’ll take home more of the harvest!) and are instead focusing on establishing perennial gardens and making new garden beds.  We are shifting focus from a production herb farm to an educational garden which looks like:

New garden bed construction 

Weeding and maintaining perennial gardens

Weed whipping & establishing walkways

Biodynamic soil preparations

Irrigation installation 

Transplanting

Harvesting
